About this deal

A story in JSA: Classified #10-13 depicts Savage with his immortality and regenerative abilities now drained and suffering from a brain tumor. Believing he will die soon, Savage decides to try one last act of revenge against Alan Scott, the first superhero he ever fought and his first true enemy of the modern era. When this fails, Savage consumes a clone of himself to restore his power, at least temporarily. This story claims Savage no longer has descendants to harvest for survival and says he is only 37,000 years old, both of which contradict comics published before and afterward, leaving the story's place in canon questionable. [30] Foreign Chemical Immunity: Vandal Savage’s superhuman healing factor also affords him the immunity to all poisons and most drugs. It is virtually impossible for him to become intoxicated.

Deus Exit Machina: Given that Klarion could probably wipe out the alien armada with ease, he is absent from this episode, with Vandal explaining that he’s working on other projects. Central Power Battery • Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum • Green Lantern Power Battery • Green Lantern Ring • Starheart

Master Acrobat: Vandal Savage' years of extensive training and vast experience have made him a highly skilled acrobat, gymnast, and aerialist. Knox was imprisoned in a holding facility on Mars, somewhere even an immortal would have difficulty escaping from, alongside Batman's doppelgänger as a cellmate.

Vandal Savage appears in Justice League: Doom, voiced by Phil Morris. This version is Sumatran and formed the Legion of Doom in a failed attempt to kill the Justice League. [51] The reason for Klarion's absence is stated to be that he's busy with Project Rutabaga. This would become relevant in "Early Warning".
