Saucony Women's Triumph 19 Running Shoe, Medium
About this deal
Renee: The Triumph 19 is a great option for a long, easy/slow day shoe, especially for runners who prefer traditional riding shoes that are stable. The weight is a bit heavier than I would prefer as compared to some other options, but the cushioning is nice without feeling mushy. Plus, the shoe’s geometry and outsole make it durable and useful for pavement and buffed gravel/dirt surfaces.

Asics Novablast 2- Not entirely a max cushioned, but still a highly, highly cushioned trainer that does recovery well A suede insert along the eyelets adds a bit of structure here and I think it plays a big role in the efficiency of this upper construction. At the rear, the heel counter is rigid and padded, while the heel collar provides a snug fit for a soft foothold. The gusseted tongue is less padded than on the previous version (presumably to shave some more weight), but it doesn’t impact the comfort. The upper material is thinner and covered with venting perforations making this shoe much more enjoyable to run in than past versions. Extra laces for added color

Adidas Ultraboost 21- For those on their heels more, the towering boost with new torsion system feels smooth and forgiving PWRRUN+ is not even remotely close to a soft material. It is comfortable, plush, but not soft. It has a nice density to it that is sensible even when walking in the shoes, or thumb-pushing into it. Personally I find it falls right within my personal preferences of responsive cushioning. Not a mushy, pillow-like feeling, but more of a...firm mattress. Overall: B+ (A solid option for the premium daily trainer in the neutral category. Some stability and transition elements could be refined but overall a good option out there.)The RW Takeaway: The Triumph 19 is a mileage base builder, post-marathon recovery shoe, and workhorse trainer. Yes, Saucony’s softest shoe is also its most versatile.
