Quiz (Game Corner, Sanrio): Hello Kitty will ask the tamagotchi questions related to sanrio characters. Each round will have 3 questions. Beneath the faceplate is a printed graphic, while the faceplate itself has its own matching prints. It has an infrared port at the top, and the English and Japanese versions support infrared and Bluetooth connectivity.

The first release to not show a Tamagotchi's gender on its profile screen. While gender is not mentioned, it still affects what Tamagotchi a younger stage will grow into and what marriage partners they'll be offered in the TaMatching app.

A left or right arrow will appear and the use must press the corresponding button (A for left and B for right) to pound the mochi. Occassionally, the user may have to press a button twice when two arrows appear. Strawberry Cards (Sanrio): The Tamagotchi will be standing in front of 15 cards which will briefly show what's behind them (7 pairs of sanrio characters and 1 Kuromi). The cards will hide their contents again and the user must select the cards hiding characters with matching designs while avoiding Kuromi which will end the game.
