About this deal
Alex Hutchings kindly explains everything from the on board controls, to pairing to your device, to saving patches and more.See the time codes below for specific topics. The Katana-amp voicings have a digital sheen that's combined with desirable analog overtones – each sounds completely organic, and intrinsically Boss-sounding. Each sounds incredibly dimensional through Waza-Air’s high-fidelity headphones, and these are the most pleasing hi-gain and clean tones to my ears.
When you pair the MIDI one on the app, it doesn't automatically pair the AUDIO one on the device to use in your music app. For this - as the manual says - you need to hold the BT button on the headphones to enter pairing mode, then go to your device's bluetooth settings and pair the WAZA AIR AUDIO. Once this is done you can control the headphones with the app & stream music at the same time, which is one thing that doesn't always work well with this type of product (on the yamaha THR for instance, you can't sync settings on the app while streaming audio & vice versa) The Katana-amp voicings are intrinsically Boss-sounding, meaning they have a digital sheen combined with desirable analog overtones that sound completely organic Up to five hours of play time with the headphones and up to 12 hours with the included WL-T Transmitter
Amplifier types derived from the Katana stage amplifier series, including a full-range mode for bass or acoustic / electric guitar The panoramic effect triggered by your head turning in Static and Stage modes is really wild while the Surround mode is like virtual-reality candy for your ears BOSS WAZA-AIR Wireless Personal Guitar Amplification System: https://www.boss.info/global/products/waza-air/
However, most guitarists would probably also agree that traditional headphones don’t provide a natural playing experience. They typically sound flat, anaemic and are incapable of replicating the character or ambience of an amp being played in a space. That is, until now… Immersive “Amp-In-Room” Sound
BOSS wireless technology is built in, resulting in outstanding sound quality and ultra-low latency. A cool product, although it could deserve a little love in terms of UX, especially in the app which has this very critical bug that still hasn't been resolved since the last app update 3 months ago. Boss highly recommends that it be charged in a location that is room temperature (50-85 degrees). If it’s any warmer, it could pose a risk to the internal battery.

But wait — there’s more! Using an integrated gyro sensor to detect your head movements as you play, this technology then drives sophisticated 3D algorithms, providing a spatial realism akin to playing through an amp in a room. This means the character of the amp sound changes and even moves left or right depending on the position of your head. It’s like VR for your ears! Large, custom-designed 50mm drivers are used in the Waza-Air to provide rich, full sound for both guitar playing and music listening. With complete user customisation and a range of ready-to-play presets available via the free BOSS Tone Studio app, Waza-Air boasts tones and controls taken from the stage-class Katana amplifiers, with full user customisation and a number of ready-to-play presets. Equipped with large, custom-designed 50 mm drivers, Waza-Air provides rich, full sound for both guitar playing and music listening. The conforming earpads and wide headband are super-comfortable for extended playing sessions, while the rugged build ensures lasting durability for everyday practice and jamming.
