The C93, C83 and C73 Series all use the new Ai PQ2.0 processor, using Deep Learning with Super Resolution upscaling.The color range of the quantum dots is equally impressive. The C835 achieves 93% P3 and 70% REc.2020. This equals the performance of an OLED, but combines it with a lot more brightness. Colors and light are therefore the strong side of this device, the images have an enormous intensity. While TV designs typically seem keen to crow about keeping speakers hidden away as if they’re some sort of dirty secret, personally I have no problem with the TCL’s public display of sound-quality affection. Equally Bezel Less and also slightly slimmer than the norm at 30mm, the C835 is another impressive contender that gives you some serious value-for-money considerations. TCL C835 Review: Maybe the best TV purchase in 2022 - Tech Week
TCL might not quite carry the same household name as the likes of Samsung, LG, Panasonic, or Sony in western markets, but the Chinese company remains the number two TV manufacturer in the world when it comes to market share – and is continuing to expand into Europe and the US as it aspires to that number one spot. This year’s line-up looks to build nicely upon what’s gone before it, offering a wealth of potentially good-looking upgrades across the board. There are a number of unusual elements to the 65C815K’s reasonably attractive design. First, it features a very obvious, blue-tinted soundbar hanging from its bottom edge. This wears the branding of renowned Japanese audio brand Onkyo, raising hopes this might be the rarest of things: an affordable TV with a built-in sound system that doesn’t sound horrible. As well the FreeView Play perks of the Android Smart TV platform, the P735 also offers up TCL Home and Google Home, Google Duo and Google Assistant built-in, along with Alexa compatibility for hands-free voice control. There’s also support for Chromecast but no Apple AirPlay 2, while gamers can access Game Master with Stadia streaming titles and ALLM (down to 15ms), but not to the same 120Hz levels as the more expensive models.Some high-end (AKA more expensive) mini LED rivals provide far more dimming zones than that, it has to be said. Experience suggests, though, that it's not always how many zones you've got that counts, but what you do with them. Also, some mini LED rivals, such as the Samsung QN85A and LG's QNED ranges, use IPS LCD panels that typically deliver weaker contrast than VA designs. If a device isn't certified, it won't be listed below. Manufacturer The intense colours are at their best with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ sources. The extra scene-by-scene picture information these two formats provide appears to help the set rein in its most aggressive colour instincts to deliver punchy but also mostly believable and balanced tones. So much so that pictures actually look much more dynamic and bold than the good (for this price level) peak measured brightness of around 540 nits would lead you to expect.

TCL's first mini LED TV to hit the UK leaves John Archer mostly impressed, but ruing some missed opportunities Google TV makes for a familiar and well-organized interface, with easy access to all the key video services and catch-up channels. It aims to be smart at filling its home screen with content from your selected services and did so here with a minimum of the YouTube promotion that has seemed prevalent in the earlier days of Android TV. That said, it didn’t include content from all available services, notably omitting TCL’s own channel of live and on-demand content. Below is a list of all of the core UHD models added to TCL’s line-up this year, along with some of the key specifications that set each one apart from its siblings. As with all other manufacturers, there’s a natural trade-off between pricing and the quality of the features list, so you might want to consider both your budget and what you’ll mostly be using the TV for (along with your broader set-up and surroundings) to help fine-tune the right choice.

The C635 also boasts an Onkyo sound system with 2.0 set-up using 2-way, down-firing speakers to enhance any Dolby Atmos output. There’s also hands-free support with voice controls and compatibility with the likes of TCL Home, Alexa and Chromecast (but no Apple AirPlay 2 or the likes of Matter and Miracast). Without the scene-by-scene picture date of Dolby Vision and HDR10+ to guide it, however, the 65C815K’s presets rather lose the plot. Saturations with the industry standard HDR10 sources that actually make up the majority of HDR content are pushed way too far, losing subtle shading and detail in the process. As a result, bright pictures can end up resembling weird hand-painted caricatures rather than natural video.
